Warrington Wolves – Warrington Guardian Facebook page:

Graham Kinsey: I am proud of our boys and they should be proud themselves. Bring on the next challenge.

Julia Blackburn: Great effort by the boys well played here’s to next year.

Warrington Guardian website:

Capricornian: You could not fault the skill or the performance of any single player from either team who played in the 2016 Challenge Cup Final. There was no quarter given nor asked and they all gave 100% and left the pitch with nothing left in the tanks.

Who played where or who should and shouldn't have played had nothing whatsoever to do with the result. Each and every player gave everything for their mates. In reality the highlight of that particular game was the final tackle by Danny Houghton on Ben Currie. It could easily have been the reverse and Ben would have got all of the accolades. It was a fantastic tackle that deservedly took the cup home to Hull by the narrowest of margins.

I am proud of the boys and the club for the manner in which they played and portrayed themselves with dignity to a much wider audience than those of us at Wembley yesterday. Mr Moran took on this club to build into the best Rugby League outfit in the world. Yesterday’s performance would have ticked a lot of boxes in the club's quest for excellence. I applaud Mr Smith too for having the guts to pick a team capable of winning yesterday’s game.

Grumpytel: We lost a battle on Saturday with heads held high, but we haven't lost the war, there is plenty to fight for at this stage of the season, I'm sure the players want to improve on this & need us behind them all the way.
