NAME: Bernie Lenihan
AGED: 49
FROM: Sankey Bridges
TITLE: Stadium manager
HOW LONG WITH WOLVES: 20 years
“I’M the first man on the site and the last one off, opening up the stadium at 8.30am and getting away around 10pm.
“I do an inspection and have full health and safety responsibility for the stadium.
“I always say I’m a Warrington Wolves fan before I’m an employee as my son, who was born in 1986 after we won the Premiership, is Michael Andrew Gregory Lenihan.
“I don’t see a lot of the home games so I like to go to away games to get my fix.
“I waited years to get to Wembley and the first time we were there I was on duty at the stadium organising the coaches at 4am so come kick-off I was a bit tired!
“We have a bit of banter with the players and me and Jon Clarke get on well.
“Fans who walk into the stadium don’t realise the work that goes on behind it.
“It’s a real family affair for me because my wife Jan is head of reception and my brother-in-law works on the kiosks.”
