Well, what a fantastic week its been!

First i will talk about the great win we had at Huddersfield giants.

We went to Huddersfield on the back of a defeat to Wigan and also on the back of a very tough and physical game.

We didn't get the 2 points from the Wigan game but what we did get was some belief and confidence.

We came away from the Wigan game with a defeat but from it we grew as a team.

The week leading up to the Huddersfield game there was no moaning, no feeling sorry for are selves, no one was feeling down, if anything it picked us up and made us train even better and that is something we haven't done over the last few years at Warrington.

The old Warrington team would of dwelled on that game for a few days and then forgot about it around Thursday evening, not this team.

We had video review Monday morning to look at where we lost the Wigan game and also at where we should of won the game and that was it, the game was gone, we focused on Huddersfield Giants there on in.

Huddersfield made it hard for us to win that game and it was always going to be about determination and enthusiasm.

We show plenty of both in defence but at times I feel we could of been a lot smarter in attack. Huddersfield are very good at limiting your options in attack and that made the game a forwards battle and a lot of the play was up the middle.

Once we managed to get the ball out wide I thought Matt King was awesome.

He brought the ball back from kicks very strong and he also put some try saving tackles in to save the game.

As a team we get more out of winning 14-10 and battling it out and grinding out a win than we do by beating Harlequins 58-0.

The Huddersfield game will hopefully bring belief and confidence so that when we do get into tough games and situations then we can stand up and be counted.

This week will be a tough game against the Crusaders, they have already beaten the Salford City Reds and Hull FC so they have proven if you take them lightly then you will get beat, but I think that goes with any Super League team this season.

Crusaders have brought in a lot of new players and I must say they have some quality.

The coach Brian Noble and his Assistant Jon Sharp have also been around long enough to know the tactics they will use this week to try and break us down. I think we could be in for a really good battle this week.

Last night (Wednesday) was the mark of my Testimonial year with my official launch dinner at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

It was a great night and the entertainment was superb.

Barrie McDerrmott and Terry O'Connor had the room in stitches with some great rugby league tales and local comedian Dom Thomas carried that on to mark off a great night.

I would like to thank all the people that attended and I would also like to say thank you for all your kind words of support as the night went on.

I am very proud to say I have represented the Primrose and Blue of Warrington for 11 years now and hopefully I can play more years to come and help bring success to the club.

I would also like to report that Lee Briers is looking good in training.

It looked touch and go with how long he would be off the field for.

Originally it was 12 weeks but after Mickey Higham looked closely in to Briersy's trainers he noticed a pebble, so Mickey as now removed the pebble and Briersy's limp as gone! so hopefully we will see him on the field soon.

I hope you've enjoyed the season so far and i'll look forward to seeing you Sunday at the HJ.

Speak soon, Woody
