A BAKERY that regularly trades at markets in Warrington has won at the British Pie Awards 2022.
Cake Loves Cake is a bakery that is based in Manchester, but the business is known to market-goers in Warrington.
The bakery is known for its sweet and savoury treats, and entered the British Pie Awards.
A ceremony was held on Friday, March 10, and the bakery took home one of the coveted prizes.
Speaking to the Warrington Guardian, Cake Loves Cake said: "We’re delighted that one of our pies won a bronze award at the British Pie Awards last Friday.
"We entered the meat and potato pie category and we won.
"We are also proud to be a female pie producer."
According to the company, almost 1,000 pies were entered into the awards this year, making their achievement even more significant.
The company added: "We’ve been making our pies for a very short period of time and, although we know the locals and market customers love them, it’s nice to get recognition from the national awards for the quality of our produce."
Dr Matthew O’Callaghan, chairman of the British Pie Awards, said: "I’m so pleased that [Cake Loves Cake] are amongst the award Winners.
"The judges were very complimentary about the pie - which is why it won an award!"
