Well it was a disappointing result against Hull FC last weekend.

All the guys were really down on themselves and especially me due to the fact i got a red card.

I am just glad I didn't get suspended for the Catalans game but i did receive a £300 fine for a Careless high tackle.

This week at training we have gone back to how we win the collision in defense, something we have been really strong in our last four games, but yet we was very poor at the weekend against Hull FC.

One of the main things we looked at is our footwork leading into a tackle and making sure our feet are planned and not off the floor on the point of collision.

On Thursday Cull wanted to show us some footwork drills on a video before we went on to the field, when the clips came on it was Martin Gleeson and Mark Gleeson dancing away when they were 7 and 10 years old in front of a camcorder!!!!!

If you could of seen the moves on Martin you will know where he gets his silky footwork on the field, it was hilarious.

Also this week Stuart Reardon has been told he needs a shoulder operation, its a massive blow for the team and i hope he makes a quick recover.

Stuart has been doing loads of extras before training to get his self fit, especially on his 'GUNS' which he likes to call his arms haha. This week against Catalans we have to go out on the field with our strongest fully fit team and get ready for a real battle in the middle of the field.

I think Catalans will come over to the Halliwell Jones and play the strongest team they have possible and that's what we are expecting.

I think it will be a real good battle between Stacey Jones and Lee Briers and there will be plenty of skill on show.

This week our main focus has got to be getting on top of the Catalans forwards, they will all want to impress and prove they are good enough for next weeks final but we have to win the battle to give our backs a chance to open them up out wide.

It should be a good game with plenty of flare has both teams like to throw the ball about.

Hope you enjoy the game and i hope we can get the 2 points.
