Stayed loyal to Warrington despite being chased by several of the leading NRL clubs during 2006, Grose has established himself as one of the most successful overseas imports of the Super League era. A cool and classy performer who plays in every position across the back line, he was the Wolves' player of the season in 2005, a season in which he made more metres than any other back in the competition and was ranked the leading outside back in the game on the OPTA index. A solid defender, Grose is a genuine strike centre or fullback who is capable of scoring from long range. Began his career in Australia as a junior at Cronulla Sharks, he was the Shark's Rookie of the Year' in 2001, his debut season in first grade. Signed for South Sydney Rabbitohs on their return to the NRL in 2002, finishing the season as the Rabbitohs' top try scorer before embarking on an end of season backpacking trip around Europe with friends. It was on this trip that he stopped off in Warrington to sign terms with the Wolves, and has missed only a handful of games in four seasons at the club.
